Wouldn't it be great if we could take a real vacation every 4 months? One or 2 weeks vacation off every 3-4 months seems to be something that is possible only when we retire! Until then, the best we can do is try get away for a weekend to relieve some stress and re-balance. Often a relaxing weekend can help rejuvenate you and help you perform better through the week. Or, maybe you just want to plan a surprise for your sweetheart to rekindle the flame. Take a look at some romantic weekend suggestions for you to enjoy without having to do a lot of planning or extensive traveling.
Romantic weekend suggestions do not always have to involve travel. Perhaps you can plan a romantic dinner for two at a quaint little restaurant tucked away in a remote area. Eating by candlelight can set the mood and the tone for the entire evening. Afterwards you might consider a long drive in the country or to the lake. While on your drive, you can play your favorite music.

They might also have some suggestions about good restaurants in the area or other romantic things to see and do. Do you, or somebody you know, have a camper or RV? If so, why not ask to borrow it for a short weekend trip. You can also simply rent an RV or a small camping trailer . If the weather is right, you could even consider camping in a tent. You can cook your meals on a campfire and just relax and enjoy each other’s company. Sometimes it is good to just get away from cell phones and computers. Planning a trip to commune with nature can be relaxing and enjoyable.
Camping is a great activity that can easily be done on a weekend, admit can be very romantic too. There will probably be nature trails in the area and quite possibly there will be water nearby where you can rent a small boat and spend some lazy time on the lake. There is something about fires and waterways that always tend to trigger a romantic mood. Sitting by a campfire at night and looking out across the lake can be quite romantic and relaxing.
