Go Off The Beaten Path For Romantic Travel Locations
Most people think of places such as Paris or Venice when the subject of romantic travel locations comes up, but there are many other great places to go for a romantic break – in fact, going off the beaten track a little is often much better, as you will find somewhere quieter, less crowded, and less commercial, for your romantic holiday.
Romantic Travel Location Tip One: Pismo Beach
Pismo Beach is located in California – it is less well known than the more southern beaches, but it is a beautiful beach. Located on the central coast, Pismo beach is blessed with great weather all year round, and is home to many good seafood restaurants, as well as shopping areas, and some great historical sights. You can laze on the beach all day, take a trip to Morro Bay to see the marine life, or head up to Hearst Castle to take a tour.
Romantic Travel Location Tip Two: Disney World
Perhaps the idea of Disney World being romantic has never crossed your mind. If you have a chance to visit without children in tow, you might see how the magic kingdom can stir up a little magic in your love life. There is something charming about Disney World and spending a weekend at the resort with your partner can give you plenty of ways to relax and enjoy each other.
How you enjoy Disney World is up to you – you could go on the more traditional rides, explore the food venues, watch the shows, or spend your time in the world class hotels – relax in the spas, or do some sunbathing on the beaches. Disney World is a magical place, and the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic holiday.
Romantic Travel Location Tip Three: The Woods
No matter where you live, you should not need to go far to find a wood or forest. Book a cabin in your nearest woodland, rent an RV, or spend a night at an inn. No matter where you stay, you will enjoy the feeling of getting away from home and spending some time in the country side.
You don't have to go far away from home to find somewhere that gives that remote countryside feeling, and moonlight walks are romantic no matter where you are. The important thing is that you are spending time with someone you love.

Hi there Darlene, I just wanted to leave a comment about your post. I think that those locations are very nice indeed. But don't you think that Disney world has been done to death?
) I live in Quebec and there is alot of wonderful places where the tourists love to go and there is so many things to do up here. There is hunting, fishing, boating, and that's just in the summer. In the winter you have ski-doing, icefishing, cross-country skiing and sugar bushing.
I like the idea of going in the bush (that's forest to the city folk
Have a wonderful day people

Hi Momma Bear:
Thanks for your thoughts and comments!
We have to agree with you that Disney World has been "loved" to death (almost), but there is still something "magical" about it! Personally, we love heading to the bush ( a.k.a. forest), but for those who may not be so fond of critters, the jungle rides at Disney may have to do!
We would love to visit your "neck of the woods" in Quebec. It sounds like a great place for romantic summer or winter vacations. What is "sugar bushing"? Please tell us more!

Hello admin, wow, i hope that i didn't insult anyone about the Disney World comment.
Anyway. Sugar bushing is the collection of maple syrup from the trees, alot of us make it a family thing. Go out for the day, collect the sap from the trees, start the boiling process. We have a ball, my favorite part, even to this day is pouring the hot syrup over snow (clean of course!) and cutting it and then of course, eating it. It's been a tradition of ours for a long time. Check out this link http://www.kipawa.net/album_cat.php?cat_id=7 it shows a picture of a sugar bush on the manawaki road.

Hi Mommabear:
A healthy exchange of thoughts and ideas is always good.
We checked out the link! GREAT pics! Especially the sunsets…boo-T-full (beautiful).
The shot of the maniwaki road sugar bush is at a distance but we can see it clearly. Pouring hot syrup over CLEAN snow, cutting it and then eating it, rivals rubbing noses with Mickey and Mini Mouse any day!
That sounds like a great family tradition.
Sounds similar to what is called "shaved ice" in the Caribbean. But since there are no sugar bushes or snow there, they miss half the fun.
We may consider doing a post on 'sugar bushing in Quebec" in our "family vacations" section! We would need your expert contribution though!
Thanks for sharing a great family tradition.

Hello again Admin,
Yes, i agree, the sunset here is amazing. I am pretty sure that is why i consider myself a "country gal" so to speak. lol I don't really like it in the city, too noisy and can't seem to handle all of the people. The shaved ice thing sounds really interesting, do you have any links on it? As for doing the post on sugar bushing in Quebec, i would be honored. I am hardly no expert on that subject though. lol Just relating one of the wonderful childhood memories. Thanks a bunch! I will look for better links to post for you.

I liked your post. I'd like to add that for romantic overseas travel off the beaten path, nothing can beat the cheap Eastern European destinations like Bulgaria and Romania. They are really amazing and for super cheap!!
