Traveling can be very expensive – after you have bought flights, hotel rooms, transport to – and – from the airport, and all the other little expenses that are related to your holiday can quickly mount up.  It is easy to overlook travel insurance, thinking that it is just an extra, and optional, expense, but doing so could be a mistake.

If something goes wrong on your trip, for example if a flight were to get canceled, and you have RBC travel insurance, then you will be covered for it, and they will sort you out with another flight, and accommodation while you wait for it if necessary.

Why Not Just Leave It?

Some people think that if they get insurance and then don't need to claim, they have wasted money.  In reality, the one time you do have to claim on your insurance will likely make up for all the times you have had insurance, and not needed to claim.  Imagine if your hotel were overbooked – how much would it cost you to get a new hotel room on short notice, compared to the discount rate you paid for booking your holiday in advance?
